90 Days of Summer

The 2008-2009 TV Season is over, and it's going to be a long dry summer for TV Series, since the only TV Show that is going to be aired this summer that I watch is Entourage which will be returning for Season 6 in July 12th. And well, I'm planning to watch the new show Glee, which looks like a lot of fun, it's a Musical showfrom the creator of Nip/Tuck. When I watch you you can check the score in the right bar.

And well, as every summer, I also start with old/new TV Shows that I didn't watch in the regular TV Season. And here are some of the TV Shows I've already downloaded and I'm planning to watch:

Weeds [Seasons 1, 2, 3, & 4]: I've already started it, and the first 3 episodes are amazingly great, it's very funny, creative, original, and the half hour passes like 1 minute. Loving it.

Firefly [Seasons 1 and only]: From the very beloved TV god, Joss Whedon, I've already watch the Movie, Serenity, and the show can't be dissapointing.

Big Love [Seasons 1 & 2]: Another HBO Show (The best ones), and it looks really good, besides, it also has Ginnifir Goodwin and Amanda Seyfried.

True Blood [Seasons 1]: More HBO. Six feet under is my favorite TV Show EVER, and Alan Ball is the one who created that, and this. The second season is going to start soon, so I'll better catch up.

Battlestar Galactica [Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5]: I have this with me for a couple of summers, and I just can't start, I need someone to push me to do it, finally.

24 [Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7]: Same as Battlestar Galactica, but worse, had the show for years already. Need a big push.

That's it for now, I'm also planning to download The Office, and other TV Shows... Any special good suggestions?

Amelie Nº5

A beautiful reunion with one of the creators of the best movies ever (Jean Pierre Jeunet) and his muse (Audrey Tautou), after Amelie (2001) and A Very Long Engagement (2004) for a Chanel No.5 Commercial. Poetic.

Your Heart's a Mess

Gotye - Hearts a Mess

Pick apart
The pieces of your heart
And let me peer inside
Let me in
Where only your thoughts have been
Let me occupy your mind
As you do mine

Your heart’s a mess
You won’t admit to it
It makes no sense
But I’m desperate to connect
And you, you can’t live like this

You have lost
Too much love
To fear, doubt and distrust
(It’s not enough)
You just threw away the key
To your heart

You don’t get burned
(’Cause nothing gets through)
It makes it easier
(Easier on you)
But that much more difficult for me
To make you see
Love ain’t fair
So there you are
My love

(soft)
Your heart’s a mess
You won’t admit to it
It makes no sense
But I’m desperate to connect
And you, you can’t live like this

Your heart’s a mess
You won’t admit to it
It makes no sense
But I’m desperate to connect
And you, you can’t live like this

Love ain’t safe
You won’t get hurt if you stay chaste
So you can wait
But I don’t wanna waste my love

The Mount of the Pope

I hate the Pope Benedict Ratzinger Palpatine XVI, well, you know me, aside from the fact that I hate anything that represent any religious leadership, he's also stupid, very stupid. From the begginning of his papacy in 2005, his mouth couldn't be more full of shit, he says so many stupid stuff that it makes you feel bad for hating him for being stupid.

But from other side, if you look at it, since he is coming here this Monday, and these Popes always pass by Mount of Olives (Jesus what here, heh), well, Mount of Olives looks so beautiful and pretty that I even believe that it is! Aside from all the Vatican flags that the Municipality hang everywhere, they did a great job in the streets of mount of olives, renewing everything and making it more pretty (for the Pope).

The fact is, if this is the only way that will make the Municipality of Jerusalem do something here, so Pope, you are welcomed here every year.

Sticky & Sweet Orgasm

I'm speechless. If this gets confirmed, that would be the best thing could ever happen EVER in the history of the world. I just cross my fingers and wait until it becomes official at Madonna.com

Madonna to end Sticky & Sweet Tour in Israel
After long and agonizing negotiations, pop queen Madonna has finally confirmed she will be stopping in Israel this October as part of her successful Sticky and Sweet Tour.

The singer will put on a one-night performance, but her trip to Israel will last a few days during which she will visit various sites.

According to speculations, Madonna will be landing in Tel Aviv a week before her show and stay in Israel during Yom Kippur.

The 51-year-old artist’s visit to Israel was not part of the original plan. The Sticky and Sweet Tour was launched last year and saw jam-packed halls around the world.

After the tour Madonna announced that she planned to start working on a new record, but rising demand from her fans around the world led the singer to extend her tour to European locations this summer.

It should be noted that Madonna has wanted to perform in Israel a number of times in recent years, but due to funding problems, was unable to do so.

Even now, there is a chance that the show may not go through, since Israeli promoter Shuki Weiss and German producer Marek Lieberberg are still looking for commercial sponsors to fund the costly performance.

The two have been holding intensive talks with telecommunications provider Orange, but an agreement is yet to be signed.

The Sticky and Sweet concert includes over two hours of Madonna singing her greatest hits from throughout her career, and a gypsy section with symbols from Judaism displayed on a large screen in the background.

7 Kilos

That's what I lost in 34 days, 7 kilos... SUCK IT! I'm awesome, I'm great, I'm still fat but I'm fabulous! And I'm going to keep going on until I lose it all! Everything.

Now seriously, I'm really proud of myself. You people who know me well know that I generally don't love my self enough, but this is a reason to! I've lost a lot of wieght eating healthy without starving. And there is really no secret, it's just the power of wanting to do it, if you really want to, you just do. I'm not going to tell my weight until I lose it all, don't worry, though most people don't actually believe that is my real weight, but yeah, it is. Anyway, I'm going to tell you what my diet is, the original diet that the doctor told me to do, but I kinda skip, because she gave me like 6 meals, and who is gonna eat 6 times a day? I eat 3, I eat a lot, I eat enough, I dont starve, and I'm losing a lot of weight quickly.

Breakfast [07:30]:
  • 01: 4 Slices of Bread (34-37 k/cal per slice)
  • 02: With one of these choices:
02.1: 1/3 of a Cottage Cheese Vase (3% fat or less)
02.2: 2 Slices of Turkey Breast
    02.3: 2 Spoons of Hummus
    02.4: 1 Boiled Egg (3 Times a Week max.)
  • 03: Salad, lots of salad, with:
03.1: 1 Teaspoon of Olive Oil
    03.2: 1 Avocado
Snack at Work [10:30]:
  • 01: A Fruit (any)
  • 02: 1 Glass of Milk (1%)
2nd Snack [13:30]:
  • 01: 2 Slices of Bread (34-37 k/cal per slice)
  • 02: 2 Slices of Turkey Breast
  • 03: Salad
  • 04: A Fruit
Lunch [16:00]:
  • 01: Salad
  • 02.1: 1,5 Cup of Rice
    02.2: 1,5 Cup of Pasta
    02.3: Baked Potato
    (All 3 done without oil)
  • 03.1: 120 grams of Lamb Steak
    03.2: A full chicken breast
    03.3: Fish
(All done only with one spoon of oil)
3rd Snack [18:30]:
  • 01: A Fruit
  • 02: A Yoghurt (1.5% or less)
Dinner [21:00]:
  • 01: 4 Slices of Bread (34-37 k/cal per slice)
  • 02.1: 1/3 of a Cottage Cheese Vase (3% fat or less)
02.2: 2 Slices of Turkey Breast
    02.3: 2 Spoons of Hummus
02.4: White Cheese (5% fat or less)
  • 03: Salad (Without olive oil or any dressings)
And of course, there is the great iDDR, dancing a lot, I'm burning a lot of calories, and walking and jogging almost 5 days a week, more than one hour, this is how I lost 7 kilos, and by the way, I only do Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, I skip the snacks, and I don't do them at the same hours, the diet still works!

Love you,
Z

Where the Wild Things Are

This is one of my most awaited films of the year, the adaptation to Maurice Sendak's childrens picture book, who is going to be directed by Spike Jonze.

I don't need to say anything, just watch the trailer, and you have a couple of posters.

Dance Dance Revolution and Stuffed Peppers

This weekend (again, for those Spanish folks that I always remind them that the Middle Eastern Weekend is Thursday-Saturday) Efi came over, and so far the weekend is a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of fun! He brought me a gift (how cuuuuuute), and a very good one. Its the DDR (Dance Dance Revolution, which in here is iDDR -the "i" stands for Israel). I've been waiting for this for so long, and I'm very excited! Since it also helps a lot to lose calories (By the way people, I lost more than 6 kilos in 1 month! ^^), and it's a lot of fun, to dance, to jump, to lose calories, and to annoy the awful and disgusting neighbours. I think it will take me only a couple of days to convince my mom to dance in it too.

And aside from dancing, which makes me more hungry, today Mr. Efi made a very special dish that I love (he didn't make it for me though, it's for my mother, but I ate more than her), stuffed peppers! You probably are wondering (if there is anybody who is reading this anyway xD), you are arab, you created the stuffed food... Yes, it's true, but Efi makes it a totally different way with a waaaaay yummier stuffed rice, which is 1000 times more complicated to make but totally worth it.

Kudos to all people who helped to make a regular Friday, a great day: Efi, Dahood, Hasan, Mom & Dad

Confessions of a Shopaholic

I have a problem with shopping, and not the typical problem that generally people have, no, I don't buy things that I don't really need and I don't buy compulsivly. My problem is, that whenever I want to go clothes for myself, I never do... I could just go around all the shops in all the city, and I wouldn't find something that I like, just like that. I'm just unlucky. And whenever I just go out to the movies or something, without any purpose I end buying clothes for a lot (a lot) of money. What happened today, I finished work early, so I called my friend Dido, and told him if he wants to go shopping, he agreed. We went shopping, I didn't find anything, and him, who last week spent a fortune in clothes, again, found things to buy for himself in almost every shop we went in. He bought him self some (pink!) trousers, a shirt, a (very expensive) pair of shoes, and even food! And I, just didn't buy anything.

Who got fortunate? My mom. In the end, when I just gave up, I decided I will buy something nice for my mother, since I haven't bought her anything in a while. I decided that I will buy her pretty shoes, from the new spring-summer collection. I found very pretty shoes for her EVERYWHERE! I hate women clothes and shoes generally, they have soooo many varieties and choices to buy from. When men just have jeans and shirts, it sucks. Anyway, in the end I bought her very pretty, really pretty, shoes, and when I just was going to pay, I saw a very beautiful bag, my eyes were shining, and it was black, the same colour as the shoes, I couldn't resist, and I also bought her the bag...

One week earlier, she gave me a gift card that she got from her work, and mainly that's the reason I wanted to buy her something. Well, today I spent triple the money she gave, and didn't buy something for me, it's all her. Mom's, they are just precious.... Anyway, she really liked them, and her smile worths all the money in the world (but tomorrow we are going to change the shoes).

Isn't it time someone called cut?

Amazing TV and Cinema AD, brought you by Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride & Prejudice) with Keira Knightley, for the charity Women's Aid in a new advertisement highlighting the issue of domestic violence.

It's a must see. It will leave you devastated.

Jewish Holidays and My Colleague with the Motorcycle

Bless the Jewish Holidays, I just love them, there are more holidays than working days, I just found out that I'm going to get two 4-days weekends, this week, and the week after. I'm just so happy. The Jewish calendar has so many holidays that it makes me glad to live in this country among many reasons, but this is the most important one! The Holidays, Passover, 2nd Passover, Sukkot, 2nd Sukkot, Shavuot, Hannukah, Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Yom HaAtsmaut... Keep them coming!

And other good news of the day, well, you remember that the thing that made me happier when I found my new job, is that colleage with his car that lived close to me, unfortunately, he resigned and he won't be taking me any longer to work, which is very sad... Until came Mustafa! Other colleague, and the best part is? He just bought a motorcycle! A NEW ONE! And guess what? He picks me from my door to the work! And guess what? It's a motorcycle! So I don't have to care about the traffic... I can wake up at 8:15 a.m.!
